How calculate amazon fba fee

Amazon Referral Fees:

·       Amazon charges referral fees for every item sold on their platform by 3rd party sellers

·       It varies as per categories

·       It us usually 15% of selling price

·       Depends on Product category

 Fulfillment:

·       Amazon charges FBA Fulfillment per unit sold

·       For Picking,Packing,Shipping and Handling

Fee is based on our Product’s:

a)    Size Tier

b)    Outbound Shipping Weight

 Size Tier: Your product’s actual size determine the size tier

 Small standard size: 15’’12’’0.75

 Large standard size: 18’’14’’8’’

 Once you determine the size tier, you need to determine the exact Fulfillment fee for your product. Which is based on your product’s outbound shipping weight.

 

Outbound shipping weight= Product weight + Amazon packaging weight

 Amazon determines your product weight based on whichever is the heaviest:

 

·       Actual product weight

 

·       Dimensional product weight

 

·       Actual product weight: Weight of final unit along with its packaging.

 

·       Dimensional product weight : Applicable to item weighing over 1lb and can be find as:

·       Length*width*height/139

 

Amazon packaging weight:

 Is the weight of Amazon actual packaging that your customer will get.

 Each size tier has specific Amazon packaging weight:

 

·       Standard size < 1lb: 0.25LB

·       Standard size > 1lb: 0.25LB

·       Special oversize: 1LB

 Fulfillment:

 10’’6’’4 (1.5LB)

Here Actual product weight is: 1.5lb

 

Dimensional product weight: 16’’*6’’*4’’/139= 1.73lb

 

So here amazon will choose the Dimensional weight and add their packaging weight that is 0.25lb.

1.73+0.25= 1.98lb which is your outbound shipping weight.

 Calculate your full Amazon FBA Fee:

 Total Amazon FBA fee= Amazon Referral Fee + Amazon FBA fee

 Example: Product A

Product Dimensions= Length*width*height10’’6’’4’’

Product Weight= (1.5lb)

Product Selling price =$29.99

Outbound shipping weight: Length*width*height/139+0.25

10’’6’’4/139=1.73lb

1.73lb+0.25lb=1.98lb

Referral Fee= Selling price * 15%

29.99*15/100=$ 4.49

FBA Fulfillment Fee: Large standard size (1lb-2lb) $ 4.76

Total Amazon FBA fee= Amazon Referral Fee + Amazon FBA fee

$4.49+$4.76=$9.25

 Total Amazon FBA fee= $9.25

                         Budget required to launch a Private Label product

 Let’s calculate:

 It involves 3 basic costs:

·       Reviews cost

·       Burning cost

·       Inventory cost

                                                 

·       Reviews cost

 To be ranked on first page we need to get reviews.

 a)   To get 10-15 reviews we must have 50 sales at full price:

  50 * selling price = 50* $9.99=$499.5 (Sale price)

·                          50* landed cost =  50* $1.60 = $80 (Product cost)

 Note:

·       Selling price: We will pick selling price from Amazon.com

·       Landed cost: We will pick Landed cost from Alibaba.com

 

b)   In order to get reviews from Listing Promoter we will pay him $5 for each review:

Let’s suppose Reviews are 15 against $5 for each review:

 $5=1 review

 $x=15 reviews?

 $5*15=$75

·       Burning cost

    Check against which keyword you want to rank:

Overall cost= ($499.5+$80+$75) + ($9720.2+$1568) + ($1600)

($654.5+11288.2+1600)=$13542.7

 

Note: Total cost $13542.7 does not include PPC charges.

Let’s suppose: 2000 for PPC Campaign

$13542.7 + 2000= $15542.7

Grand Total= $15542.7
